Program Overview
Charity Development Interns are the driving force behind the projects created by BDF on the NBSA campus. They help shape the strategic direction of each initiative, ensuring projects are effective and aligned with the charity's mission. In addition to project development, interns play a key role in community outreach, partnership building, and fundraising efforts, helping to expand BDF's tangible impact.
What are the key responsibilities of a Charity Development Intern?
Before orientation
Our Charity Development Interns receive an information pack outlining the projects currently being delivered by BDF. These may include initiatives such as Erasmus+ and the Turing Scheme, giving interns the opportunity to review the available projects and express their preference based on their interests and career goals.
Responsibilities
Charity Development Interns are responsible for supporting and maintaining their chosen project while actively contributing to its success. Through their work, interns help promote the charity, raise awareness of its mission, and make a meaningful impact on the communities and causes BDF supports.
➔ 9am: Wake-up and get ready for the day on campus
➔ 9:30am: Enjoy breakfast in our campus kitchen
➔ 10am-1pm: Work on a project (such as organising Turing and Erasmus+ schemes with both UK schools and universities through LinkedIn)
➔ 1-2pm: Relax on your lunch break
➔ 2-4pm: Plan local events to raise awareness of BDF’s cause
➔ 5-7pm: Partake in post-work activities with your fellow interns (relaxing at the beach, exercising, visiting local waterfalls)
➔ 7-9pm: Enjoy local cuisine for your dinner
➔ 9-11pm: Bed time!
